Soul Food is a faith-based backpack program that is a registered 501c3. Your donations are tax-deductible. We have no paid employees or administrative costs, so be rest assured, any amount you can donate goes to getting food into bellies that may otherwise go hungry on the weekends.

Soul Food's goal is to be able to add two new schools for the 2024 school year, May Valley Elementary, and Betsy Layne Elementary. We estimate 150 new students to the program that are faced with food insecurity. Please help us meet this goal for the new school year. As we continue to grow the program it is our vision that one day no child in Eastern Kentucky will go to bed hungry.
